I'm no stranger to bubble popping games - plenty of fond memories of Bust a Move - but I am a relative newcomer to the Bubble Witch Saga series. However, newcomers and fans of the series will likely have a good time with it. It won't blow the socks off of anyone who's played similar games before, of course. Because the counter represents the total number of bubbles you'll have for a given level, and the super bubble is produced separately, it's essentially a free shot. The supercharged bubble doesn't count towards your move/shot total.It's a very important strategy when it comes to clearing levels within specific shot counts. It's possible - and often necessary - to clear out large bubble clusters further up in the level, thus causing any other bubbles attached to them to fall and be collected as well. You can use this to your advantage with the right planning, though. While explosive power-ups will remove regular bubbles with no problem, any trapped owls caught in the blast will stay trapped and reconnect with the main mass. With the way most of the clusters are arranged, you'll often have to intentionally bounce your shots off the walls on either side in order to land your bubbles in the best spot. More often than not, a direct approach will be difficult. If you earn the power-up but don't want to use it yet, tap the launcher to switch back to one of your regular bubbles. You can swap out the supercharged bubble as well.Unless both bubbles are the same color, that is. You can swap between these two bubbles by tapping on the launcher, thus giving you a bit more control over how you approach the clusters above you. One will be active in the launcher, and the other will be sitting next to it. Pay attention to your 'on deck' bubbles.Great for creating an open path or for removing small groups of non-matching bubbles. After collecting so many clusters of bubbles, you'll be able to fire off a special bubble that will clear out anything nearby when it connects.

There are a fair few variations to the basic formula, but everything centers around popping bubbles. You launch bubbles at other bubbles in order to pop bubbles and bubbles bubbles bubbles, with bubbles. Bubble Witch 3 Saga is pretty much what you'd expect, even if you've never heard of the other two.
